Who and what our recommendations are for, and why we do it

At Fancentro, your user experience is important to us.

How we do our recommendations and sorting

Here is a look at how we deliver a top-notch user experience to you.

We use:

1. Time metrics. For example, to bring you Recently Featured and Trending content.
2. Clip popularity metrics. For example, we use rating to bring you Recently Featured and Trending content.
3. Top clips of the week. For example, we use all the top clips based on ratings of the last 7 days.
4. Top clips of the month. For example, we use all the top clips based on ratings for the last 30 days.
5. New content creators sorting. For example, this is used to identify and display lists of new content creators.
6. Top content creator sorting. For example, this is used to identify and create a list of top content creators.
7. Online Amateurs sorting. For example, this is used to create a list of content creators that are currently ‘online’.
8. Exclusive content creator sorting. For example, this is used to create a list of content creators that can be exclusively found on Fancentro.
9. Content upload date. For example, this is used to identify and display lists of new content.
10. Geolocation data. For example, this is used to show you the most popular clips in your country.
11. Search bar text entries. For example, we use the text you enter into a search bar to bring you the Most Relevant content.
12. Metadata. For example, this is used to bring you the Most Relevant, Recommended, and Related content through tags and categories.
13. Specific time ranges. For example, we use this metric to create trending content and channels.
14. Profile popularity metrics. For example, we keep track of the most visited content creator profiles and channels, in order to create the Most Popular categories of content and content creators.
15. Autocompletion. For example, we match your search text to our database, so that we may provide you content that is both most relevant and complies with our Terms of Service and related policies. This is also used for our Related Searches.
16. Filters. For example, we look at our most widely used filters (that comply with our Terms of Service and related policies, to show you Popular Filters.
17. Randomization. For example, in order to apply random or no logic when you choose Random, in order to show you truly random content.
18. Ad targeting. We use three types of data to bring you targeted ads:
    • Geolocation. For example, the country you are accessing Fancentro from.
    • Technical variables. For example, your internet service provider, internet connection type, operating system, or browser.
    • Content you’ve looked at before. For example, categories of content you have viewed, or content and advertisers you have interacted with.
